Produced by K.C. Mane and Mac T, We So Corrupt was released on March 1st, 1996, and serves as the Darkside Click’s 3rd tape and second full tape release following Crazy Click. Building on the group’s signature horror inspired style, the tape features K.C. Mane, Mac T, Lil Misfit, Lil Body Snatcha, Lil Nemesis, Lil Krueger, Devious Baby, Gangsta T, Fugitive, Sam D, Crazy R, and Killa K over dark, bass-heavy production. Compared to the group’s debut, We So Corrupt presents a more polished sound while continuing to showcase the aggressive lyrical style and posse cuts that became synonymous with the Westwood area’s underground rap scene. Together with Crazy Click, this release helped establish the Darkside Click as one of the more distinctive independent groups to emerge from Memphis during 1996.
