Released sometime before Fall of 1995. With it most likely being summer or spring of 1995. This short tape is Without question one of the most infamous and controversial tape titles to ever come out of Memphis, Buy The Tape Bitch is raw even by local underground standards. Often overlooked in the DJ Paul canon, this release contains at least two Paul-produced tracks, alongside additional production and appearances from Sunny Mack, Archie Baldhead, Homicyde, Gangsta Blac & Bigg Baby . Though never officially dated, a vocal reference to 1995 at the end of “Nowhere To Run” firmly places the tape in the middle of Memphis rap’s most explosive and violent era. The project plays like a sinister horrorcore mini-movie, driven by Nigga 9’s unfiltered delivery and eerie lo-fi production that sits comfortably in the same dark universe as early Prophet Posse material.
