Summer Mix #3 stands as DJ Squeeky’s final Summer Mix release and one of the last major underground tapes to come out of his camp before the Memphis scene began shifting toward albums and wider distribution. Likely released around May–June 1995, this tape captures the DJ Squeeky & The Family roster at full strength during the closing stretch of the cassette-era run. Unlike earlier Summer Mix tapes that leaned heavily on bass showcases and DJ-driven sequencing, Summer Mix #3 feels more like a crew statement. Packed with full songs, posse cuts, and recurring voices from the Squeeky, Zirk, and surrounding Memphis circles. The tape features heavy contributions from Tom Skeemask, Young Lo, Thugsta, Primo, Tinimaine, Red Boss, Yo Lynch, Criminal Manne, Al Kapone, DJ Zirk, and others who defined the early-mid 1990s Memphis underground sound. Tracks like “Playa Hatin’ Hos,” “People Think I’m Crazy,” and “Bitch Boy” showcase the aggressive, street-centered style that had become a signature of the Squeeky camp.
