This cassette came directly from Player 1 and documents a crucial moment in DJ Sound’s evolution. Volume #5 captures the early formation of what would become the Frayser Click, introducing new voices that would remain central to Sound’s catalog for many releases to come, including D.O.N. and Lethal Villain. By this point, DJ Sound was fully transitioning away from relying on outside material and toward developing a tight, in-house roster. This volume serves as both a snapshot of the Frayser scene coming together and a bridge between DJ Sound’s earlier mixes and his later, more fully realized productions.
