Often considered one of the strongest and most complete tapes from the Frayser/Ridgecrest era, Volume #10 Hatred dropped shortly after MC Money & Gangsta Gold – Da Hard Ov Frayser and before the summer of 1995. The tape brings together a wide lineup of affiliates including Dirty Red, Lil Bay, Lil Noid, Bloody Bones, Nigga Creep, Gangsta Gold, and more. All backed by Sound’s signature dark drums and eerie looping samples. The production leans heavier and more aggressive than some of his earlier volumes, with posse cuts like “Watch Out For The Click” setting the tone early. Tracks such as “Kickin’ In Doors,” “Killin’ Muthafuckas,” and “Hos Ain’t Just Hos II” highlight the raw underground energy that made this era so influential across Memphis. Side B continues the pressure with Ridgecrest-focused anthems and gritty solo performances, making Hatred a fan favorite among collectors and longtime listeners of DJ Sound’s catalog. The legendary Yo Gotti also makes another appearance on the track “Ridgecrest Killas”.
