I pretty much always figure out the features entirely on my own because I don't trust most online sources. Over the years, I've developed my own description format alongside the features I identify, partly to differentiate my uploads from the hundreds of other Memphis rap uploaders. Now, two years later, it seems like other people in the scene have started copying the features I've identified and listing them on their own rips and pages. While my feature credits aren't 100% accurate, I do hope people acknowledge that I've been responsible for discovering and identifying the majority of these underground Memphis rap features. Before I started doing this, many of the artists appearing on these tapes were completely unknown or weren't credited. I've spent countless hours listening to the same rips over and over, studying voices, comparing verses, and trying to decipher exactly which artists are featured on each track. It's a time consuming process, especially when there are very few reliable sources to reference. With that being said, since I do almost everything myself, I could really use some help verifying the features listed on my tapes. If you recognize an artist I've credited incorrectly or can confirm a feature I'm unsure about, I'd appreciate the help. I want to make these listings as accurate as possible while continuing to document and preserve Memphis rap.
