As ugly as it may look, this tape delivers exceptional audio quality and stands as one of the most iconic releases in the Memphis rap scene. Triple Six Mafia, known for their dark, ominous beats and brutally honest street narratives, helped define the underground sound that Memphis is celebrated for. This release captures the essence of their early style—gritty, unpolished, and fiercely authentic. The roughness only adds to its charm and impact, making it a must-have for collectors and fans of the genre. This tape would of course be the first ever tape under the name “Triple Six Mafia” likely released in spring 1994 after Volume #15 & Volume #2 Da Exorcist. Some people suggest it released November 1994. However, I date it earlier because Mystic Stylez had begun production and they were dropping their last few underground tapes in early 1995. And this tape actually came out before Gangsta Boo was even in the group.
