One of the more obscure mid-1994 Memphis releases tied directly to the Frayser / Ridgegrove ecosystem. This tape brings together Lunatic, Tha Maniac, Lil Whack, and Treacherous T, with D.O.N. appearing on the final track. Although it seems some members like Lil Whack are actually from East Memphis. Sonically and lyrically, it sits right in that raw street-level lane. Minimal hooks, grim subject matter, and long verses that feel closer to crew cyphers than structured songs. Tha Maniac dominates much of the tape, both vocally and stylistically, while tracks like “.357” function almost like a posse cut. This isn’t a polished project, but that’s exactly what makes it valuable as a document of how these crews were operating in 1994. Rizzod Rod is mentioned as a potential producer two times on this tape.
