Gimisum Family – Part #2: Tha Other Side of Da Family (1994)

This tape is the darker, rawer follow-up to the original Gimisum Family release, fully centered around Skinny Pimp and his circle during one of his most aggressive creative periods. Tha Other Side of Da Family leans heavily into street narratives, pimp themes, and that cold Memphis atmosphere that defined 1994 underground tapes. By this point, Skinny Pimp was already established as one of the most dominant voices in the city, and this tape captures him in full command. Both as a lead artist and as a producer on this release.  Unlike Part #1, this tape feels more confrontational and stripped down. The beats are darker, the lyrics more explicit.
