This is the earliest found volume from legendary producer DJ Squeeky, this tape is packed with heavy bass and classic cuts from some of the biggest names in early 90s hip-hop. DJ Squeeky was a foundational figure in Memphis underground rap, known for his raw mixing style and collaborations with local legends as well as national icons. This volume features an intense blend of regional and West Coast flavor, highlighted by artists like 8Ball & MJG, N.W.A., Scarface, and Gangsta Pat. The tape showcases the energy and grit of early Southern hip-hop, with hard-hitting beats and iconic samples. Since every single song featured on this release was released in 1991, I dated this release as a 1991 tape. With “Nasty Bitch” by Bustdown being the latest release on this tape released December 12th, 1991. Therefore it dropped either very late 1991 or extremely early in 1992.
