A previously unheard volume from 1991, this tape features the original version of the iconic Gangsta Walk Song. Fly’s second big single right after “Smokin’ Onion”. DJ Spanish Fly blends gritty Memphis rap cuts with classic funk and soul samples, moving effortlessly from street anthems by Willie D and N.W.A. to timeless grooves from Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and The Temptations. This mix captures the raw energy and deep bass that defined the Memphis sound in its earliest days. Released in the early summer of 1991. This tape is an official repress coming from Fly made by the master tape sometime after it’s 1991 debut. Fly also didn’t begin to call his mixtapes the “Oh Word” series until Volume #29 in 1991. Making this one Super Master Mix Production Volume #22 as told on the intro.
