I wish I knew how volatile my forum was beforehand I would have included a Captcha or verification process to screen out the bots. But now since I have so many it seems impossible to delete them all without deleting the entire forum. I know they don't really do anything at all but I'm scared it's going to crash my site or something lol. Regardless hope everyone enjoys all these new videos going up. Which are just new mixes of old rips to try and get the audio as close to the original sound as possible.

Just updated the shop with front and back scans of my original 8.5" x 11" Memphis rap magazine posters and cutouts. These are authentic pieces sourced from original 1990s hip-hop magazines and represent a unique part of Memphis rap history that rarely becomes available. Each poster will be listed for $75 and comes protected in a clear sleeve for preservation and display. This is a new addition to the shop and another way I'm working to preserve and share the visual history of the Memphis underground alongside the music itself. Good news, my YouTube strike from March 16th is finally set to expire in just a few days. On top of that, I was approved for YouTube's Advanced Features yesterday, which should make it much easier to manage and expand the channel going forward. I'm currently preparing to re-upload a large portion of the archive. These new uploads will feature improved audio restoration, cleaner source transfers, better overall mixing, and louder, more consistent volume levels than many of the previous versions. I'm excited to get back to preserving and sharing these rare Memphis rap recordings with the community. Right now, my main focus is finding a reliable long-term platform to host and share the archive files alongside the YouTube uploads. Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the preservation effort. More updates soon.

Only Missing 2 Rips Now

I'm currently rebuilding and restoring my Memphis rap archive and am down to just two missing releases. If anyone still has my rips of DJ Paul - Volume #16 and Lil Noid - Paranoid Funk, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share them with me. These are the only two recordings I'm currently missing as I work to reconstruct the archive and preserve these releases for future documentation and remastering. Thank you to everyone who has helped preserve Memphis rap history over the years. Every contribution helps keep these rare recordings from being lost.

This Is What I Do To Each Rip

Since many of the older underground Memphis releases were largely unmixed, I have taken the liberty of somewhat remastering each cassette when I rip and upload the audio in pursuit of perfectly archiving my collection.

This mainly consists of adjusting certain levels such as the bass, mids, and highs, as well as sometimes making cuts to the audio and adjusting the volume of specific tracks, interludes, or segments.

The few rips I still have up on my new YouTube channel demonstrate this. For example, Soul Takers may have a jump in hiss or volume after one track, as I am now making sure each song is loud enough or quiet enough.

Prior to me remastering them, many of these tapes had crazy inconsistencies in the overall loudness and mix.

While some may think this might ruin the experience of hearing the raw rip. I am really just doing this to bring up some of the more quieter parts of a tape.

April 11 Update

Thank you to everyone who helped locate my old rips. As of April 11, 2026, I’ve recovered everything I previously had online.

Right now, I’m in the process of remastering and re-ripping many of these releases to be reuploaded to YouTube and possibly another archival site. Since untitled.stream was compromised by Sun City and deleted without notice. Even after I spent $50 a year maintaining the archive. I’ll likely be moving the download section elsewhere, such as Google Drive.

This will allow me to continue sharing without interference. The new rips will also have significantly improved audio quality, as I’m going back through each release to level out the quiet and loud sections and create a smoother balance between the bass, mids, and highs.

Instagram Posts Taken Down By Sun City

Unfortunately Sun City has also taken down around 30 of my Instagram posts today March 27th. He took down anything mentioning any of the albums he owns. This came the same month that he took down my Youtube Channel, Untitled Archive, Website suspended, and now many of my Instagram posts.

Since I lost both my online archives on Youtube and Untiled. Stream I have essentially lost all the rips I Uploaded. If anyone has the downloads of ANY Tape from Untiled. Stream or Youtube that I uploaded. I would more than appreciate if you could share it with me so I can remix them and reupload them to rebuild my archive.

New Youtube Channel is Now Getting Claims From Sun City

Herbert has also been issuing takedowns on my new channel for content he doesn’t even have the rights to, like DJ B.K. Volume #30 and DJ Squeeky Volume 2. Just 20 seconds of audio was enough to get me new strikes before my channel was even approved for advanced features.

Website taken down by Sun City Publishing

From March 16th–17th, my website TrunkMusicTapes was down after my hosting license was suspended for abuse following reports from Herbie Love of Sun City Publishing. This all happened in the same week he took down my untitled.stream and my YouTube, meaning tons of rips are essentially gone for good.

Moving forward, I cannot sell or post any audio owned by Sun City Publishing. The albums they own are essentially banned across the internet entirely.
