I think it’s important to note somewhere on the site that during my tape-ripping process, I do apply EQ both before, and after the transfer. My goal is always to bring out the best possible sound quality from each cassette and make sure the audio is preserved in the cleanest, most listenable way possible.
That means the versions I upload online may sound a bit clearer or more balanced than the raw cassette itself. I don’t rip these completely flat or neutral — I make subtle adjustments to improve clarity and consistency across the archive. Just keep that in mind if you’re considering purchasing or comparing the audio to an original tape.
